Hi Families,

We are looking forward to a great summer swim season! Our first practice is fast approaching on Monday, April 25. In the following (very long!) email, we provide information on our upcoming season including practice logistics, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities. Please read in full.

• Practice begins April 25! Revised Practice Schedule. There have been some changes, so don’t skip this link.
• SwimTopia App: Please be sure to download, log in to, and allow notifications from the SwimTopia app on your mobile device. We will use push notifications for urgent communications such as inclement weather. You can also use the app to check meet entries and volunteer sign ups. Download through Apple Store or Google Play.
• Swimmer Entry/Exit: Swimmers should enter and exit the pool area through the backyard/playground gate only. This is to ensure kids are not in the parking lot unaccompanied. Swimmers should gather at the gate 5 min. prior to the start of practice ready to go with sunscreen applied, caps and goggles on. Volunteers will assist with swimmer check in and movement to ready bench area where a coach will retrieve swimmers. For exits, parents should plan to be at the swimmer gate exit 2-3 minutes prior to a practice session ending.
• Parents / Spectators @ Practice: For liability purposes and to ensure we are abiding by swim club rules, no parents and/or spectators are allowed on deck during practice hours in May since no dedicated lifeguards will be present. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
• Contacting Coaches: While on deck, our coaches are the lifeguards watching the swimmers in the pool. Because of this, we kindly ask that if you need to speak with Coach Laura, please email her to set up a time to talk before or after practices. A contact form is available on the Coaches webpage.
• Friday, April 29 is our kickoff event from 4:30PM – 6:30PM! Please RSVP and sign up for volunteer opportunities. Texas Swim Shops, will be onsite selling our team suit, and we’ll be handing out team shirts, swim caps, and ice cream to swimmers. If you swam with us last season, this year we are wearing the same suit! If you plan to buy a suit, swimmers should arrive 30 minutes prior to practice with his/her swim suit already on. Our swim suit provider will have our team suit to try on over top of your swimmers dry suit. NOTE: 11 & up swimmers will need to arrive by 6:30 PM to purchase a suit.
• Team Calendar: The team calendar is up, so make a note of our additional upcoming events!

Important Note regarding the Parent Volunteer Requirement for 2022!

Our team events can not run without the help parent volunteers! Thank you in advance for your help! Each swim meet requires 103 parent volunteers to run a meet. For the 2022 season, each family will need to complete 8 volunteer points throughout the season. More information can be found in the FAQ section of SwimTopia.

• To register on SwimTopia under the calendar > select the event > select the green icon listed as job signup.
• Open Today : All pre-competition season events (258 slots) are open now!
• Open Mid-May: All competition home & away swim meet events and post season events.

*** Please note that in order for your swimmer(s) to compete in our competition meets (begin June 6) your family must be signed up for 8 volunteer point slots for the 2022 season.
