Exciting News: Summer Swim League Expansion Coming in 2023

Like the weather, over the last few seasons, demand for youth swimming in the Greater Heights community has been red hot.

Last year, the Heights Hammerhead Swim Team had a record 250 participants and a waitlist of over 150. Ultimately, those on the waitlist were unable to join a swim team due to the high demand.

While we hope the extreme heat doesn’t continue indefinitely, we’re excited to increase opportunities for kids to cool off and experience competitive swimming for the summer 2023 season.

The Heights Hammerheads and the Swim Club at Lodge 88 are excited to announce that the Heights area will have TWO youth summer swim teams next year to increase the opportunity for kids to participate in summer swim in our neighborhood.

Both the Swim Club and the Hammerheads believe in expanding access and opportunities for youth swimming in the Heights. The Swim Club at Lodge 88 will be starting a new summer league swim team for members. The Hammerheads plan to return to Love Pool where they are currently investigating ways to improve the facilities for both the swim team and the community.

Both organizations are working hard on plans for summer 2023 and will individually share more details at a later date.
