Happy Monday Hammerheads!

What a great first week of swimming we had last week! It was so wonderful to see new and returning faces in the pool! 

Last week we worked on balance, rhythmic breathing, fast feet, and long arms. We worked on kicking with our hands and feet in the water, adjusting our head positioning to find our balance. Swimmers found a breathing pattern breathing every 3, 4, or 5 depending on their comfort level. We worked on reaching as far out in front of us as possible to pull as much water behind us as possible. 

Swimmers learned about moving the water with their bodies and feeling the water move around them. They worked on kicking with the bottoms of their feet when swimming on their front and the tops of their feet when swimming on their backs. We then learned to moskin, moving the water with our whole body by undulating, starting with our heads and working all the way down to our toes.
